Once upon a time a girl named Bertha woke up, she promptly prepared a meal of waffles and strawberries, oh and some delicious scrambled eggs and cheese. She then rinsed it all down with a little apple juice. Next, she aroused her sister Peggy. Peggy ate a few cookies then they were off to a hard day at work at a place they called the KLP. Yes, this place needs a lot of work! Upon arrival they realized they had forgotten the key so you guessed it, they had to go back home and get it. Plus a sack lunch of apples, water, and cookies. On the second arrival they passed a young man sitting on the curb. They wondered what he was doing, and stated that he looked familiar. They continued on to their KLP. The first thing they did was unload the tools of choice:- crowbar
- brown gloves
- knife
- flathead screw driver
They then went to survey the interior. As soon as Peggy stepped inside she said "I'm not touching anything without my gloves" which, come to find out, was a very smart move! Deciding to work in the front room first they began to tear out a lovely shade of pink carpet (only after having to carry heavy boards out and then back later..because they were sitting on the carpet for some unknown reason). Upon removal they found a even nicer shade of red and yellow shag carpet below it, and below that a rotten floor at least on one end (you could see the outside). The windows (which were covered by a pink lace fabric...Peggy stated that the lace was going to have to go) were then opened for fresh air that was badly needed. The carpet removal continued until the place was carpet free and then the wallpaper (both layers) was removed in all the rooms also. The green toilets need to be removed because well...THE
Y'RE GREEN...plus...there are other reasons that shant be shared (unless you ask..)..The two sisters also went through the cabinets because they had realized this dude had totally left random things in the KLP....like bar soap, empty cans, lysol, used rags, mouse poison (not a good sign)...Just one thing to say here "um we will NOT BE NEEDING USED bar soap pal!"...Oh and also a role of First Priority mailing tape..that was half-way cool. The girls couldnt wait to find something to tape up! :) anyway on departure there was a nice pile of CRAP in the front yard..and a trailor quite bare of carpet, and ugly shades of wallpaper... Wouldn't say the place looked better though...That might be pushing it...oh well the girls left feeling sweaty, unsantitary, and a little sense of accomplishment. They will continue this project another day. This was just Day One.
::The door shuts...a picture of Thadius hangs there in the breeze:: (an old black and white of a boy..it was found in the trailor..hung up and named)
To be continued...
