I think this could go thru my neck!

Ok this weekend...I visited a place that technically is for children...the third floor of the McWane Center...the Bob the builder display...I planted carrots and potato's in a garden (the were rubber with premade holes in the "dirt"), raced wooden boats through water, took my picture in one of the bulldozers, played in a wind tunnel, and even made a paper airplane and tested it for flight in a smaller version of the wind tunnel. How awesome is that! I got to jump around on the floor and have my "earthquake" effects be measured, dodge soccer balls, catch butterflies on my head, play with large versions of those pin things you put your hand in and it makes the imprint (what are those called)...andddd I held my neck up to a very large shark tooth and pointed out how it could probably go thru my whole neck!! yea it was the best sunday afternoon trip that I've had in awhile. The only bad part was the trip home..My man and younger sister decided I needed to try to learn to drive a stick...I've tried a few times before but it's been unsuccessful..yeah this was no different...there are lots of stop lights downtown...that's not good...I freak out everytime someone is behind me and I stall the car...then promptly hit the flashers so they'll hopefully get the idea and go around me... :(! I was hot and my man turned the air off so I could "hear the motor"..uh no!!!!!! that just makes me mad..freaking out is bad enough when you aren't also scorching hot!! the air was turned back on but when you keep stalling the car it some how still manages to get really hot!..after the 3rd stall and there are only millions more red lights and yet another car stuck behind me and the flashers are flashing...I quit...::sigh:: I want to learn but not with cars on the road...I dont think when I was learning to drive that my dad stuck me in a car with other cars around...so why is this any different..I want a carless road and lots of practice! oh well we all survived.. that's about the only new thing going on in my life at this point..

I really wish I had some cookies..

time to get it on

shew...I like that title...and it really explains how I presently feel..I mean I haven't been writing on this in months and a lot has changed...I feel inadequate in comparison to some of my fellow writers. I haven't the cool pen name..nor the skills of story telling..I do however have a man (I know you probably have a man too) ..and we're so gettin married in like 62 days or something close to that...and let me tell everyone out there if I have to wait one day longer than that I will collapse into a coma..and it will not be good. I don't know the background of all my readers but being a good Christian girl in this area has to be one of the hardest things in the entire world! I'm not questioning it's worth. Just saying it's very hard. Now lets see..I'd think I'd like to cover how this all came about..So like two years ago I met this guy..and for whatever reason (I thought he noticed too much stuff..he critiqued the way I ate my icecream cone!! "so you're a licker"...now if they just doesn't offend a girl..I don't know what will!!) I didn't find myself too interested..I was a little distracted by other things in my life and we just let it go at that...well one day I end up taking a beach trip with him...yea..you can get me easy if you just include the beach...we had fun..killed a seagull with our mirror...he tried to seduce me...I wasn't seduced..until..we get back to his place and turn on some "James Taylor Live"..it was all over after that..true story..I dont know what it was..but my man needs to give James Taylor a huge donation 'cause it got him..ME! :)...yea...then we go to Christmas with his family and something about seeing a big family gettin along....eatin cheese noodles...and spending some quality time...I don't know from then till a youth trip in February I was like...hmmm this guy...my guy...the guy?..after February I said yup...that's him...that was partly due to some sweet time in an elevator..wait..did I...hmmm anyway...so I gave him a few "hints" (hey you better ask me soon or I'll find someone who will...those type of hints)...that I wanted a ring and I wanted it soon...and well he delivered..march 11th I totally had him down on one knee by the lake..declaring his love for me...I said yes before he could get the ring out...and ever since then it's been..me wanting to elope...but I can't it's a family request...I mean after 22 yrs of pleasing them and God..it seems they wouldn't want to risk it by asking me to wait another hmmm 6 months!! but whatever..they must think if I've done it this long...gahhhh I hate being responsible...anyway...that's whats been up with me... I'll go ahead and say sorry for anything I say...because my mind hasn't been where it should be lately...and I don't expect it to change until after August ;)

dodgeball in a church gym

ok. I have most recently gotten into quite a few things...but I will choose now to only speak of..."church people and competitive sporting events"...these two do not mix...I've seen quit a few examples of this...but I will speak of the most recent. Yesterday morning I attended a charity dodgeball tournament held by a local church. I went not as a competitor just an interested fan. I didn't think that it would be that interesting but upon arriving I found a couple of older teams (30-40's) and then some highschool and middleschool teams and then one team of twentyish aged people...well let me say that the most ill-behaved group was of course the parents..wow! there was argueing with the ref..there was a nailing of a ball across the court (kicked by a very angry looking dad who was wearing socks up to his knees) there were people who even when hit with the ball wouldnt leave the court..they would claim with complete sincerity on their face that they WERE NOT hit...I was seriously afraid that there would be a fist fight...at one point a young girl declared "everyone quit yelling we're in church"...she seemed honestly upset...I understood... I also understand that as with any game a competitive person cannot keep from being competitive which may lead to cheating and yelling..which is why if I'm going to play a sport it wont be in a church gym....that should be reserved for people who aren't the least bit competitive and probably not athletic and they just play for fun...otherwise...things get out of hand! If I nail you in the face with a ball don't you think you'll want revenge? Well in church league they expect turn the other cheek type of behavior..UM NO! I will win!

I have become Paris Hilton

This is the newest addition to my family...His name is Brodie and he's twelve weeks old....I however upon assuming this responsibility did not realize that I would be called upon to sleep on the floor because he doesn't like to sleep unaccompanied (I understand the feeling)....Or that I would come home late one night and find that not only has he made a mess he also took the liberty to get covered in that very same "pile of crap"...yea so I was alone washing a dog..Then holding that very same shaking, wet, whining, and still slightly smelly baby until after 3AM when I handed him over to his other loving parent..wow..and now I can only go places when we have a sitter for the puppy..or if they allow puppies we have to carry the puppy and his "puppy bag" yes I do carry a bag much like a new parent with various puppy necessities...I now find myself looking online at these "puppy purses" and "puppy sweaters and hoodies"...how about puppy jewelry, swim-wear, oh and don't forget the special occasion-wear...Who is this person? The Courtney I know would never tote a bag with a ankle-biting size dog in it..But yet I do...And I love it! I have become Paris Hilton...But my dog is cuter...I'm hotter....And the only downfall..She probably has about 15 other people to clean up after her puppy and she can afford those "puppy suite"-type hotels for her ankle biter...Who would have ever thought it?

I too, am ridiculously good looking

  • Ok so there is not too much in my life at this point that I believe you would like to hear about so I will just list a few random things that may be of interest and may not.
  • 1.) I dreamed that I was running around in a one piece dive team style swimsuit..and if that isn't bad enough I had on white capri length tights..that were covered in an awful old ladys bathroom style floral print...yeah so the thought and mental picture to me is still quite hilarious...why me??
  • 2.)I am now sporting a blue rubber band bracelet that proudly states "asparagus...produce of mexico" that is so suh-weet
  • 3.) I live in a trailer... and my neighbor thinks my name is "corky"
  • 4.) These guys next to me are totally "in a library" and THEY'RE TALKING IN PLAIN/SLIGHTLY LOUD voices..hello what if I was working on my paper like I'm supposed to be? UM I CANT FOCUS!...I cant even focus long enough to tell you anymore random things...::kicking both guys in the shins in a relatively hard manner::

Food food and oh wait how about some mint chocolate chip icecream on an oreo crust

I just have a few things to say..Well last night at church there was a Q and A session and one question had to due with insecurity issues..Weight...Etc..Well I immediately reached for my sisters leg to pat in comfort..LOL...Then all the things I could say went rushing through my head and I started to laugh..I tried to bury my face so I wouldn't be heard..But how about that is sooo wrong of me..Like some people might really look in the mirror and be sad or something ( I don't know I'm pretty much gorgeous..LOL..Jk) it's just that I don't have real insecurity problems so I don't quite know how they'd feel)..But anyway the guy is totally trying to get everyone to pay attention and I'm laughing at some poor lil slightly overweight girls expense...Next..At the cheesecake factory (we visit here after church) our waiter was a boy..But he was trying to have a I'm a man voice..And I totally just repeated what he said right after he said it...Yeah I got reprimanded...But I seriously cant help it..I don't even think about these things..I'm not trying to be mean I swear...I just have a problem..It's my own version of turret's...Speaking of..There is a guy at church that says "oh no" and "yes" and anything else he feels like..All through the service and it totally distracts me...He has church turret's...I'm pretty sure of it...And onto this..I'm done here at the ol hospital and I have to sit here until 230 when I'm allowed to log out..And I'm HUNGRY..But my poor lil PBJ in a bootleg ziplock probably something like "we look like zip lock and we do technically "zip-lock" but if your not careful your sandwich will fall out when your not looking"..Anyway it's in my crispy white lab coat and it wants to jump out...And be eaten maliciously..But it must wait on my classmates to return from their rounds...So that we can eat together...Until then I will be singing "we have food and food is good, so we will eat together, so we will eat together..We have food and food is good, so we will eat together, so we will eat together"

My Short Story

I made a sandwhich. The sandwhich should have been delicious. The sandwhich is now wet. A wet sandwhich is NOT delicious.
The end.
